Well this is certainly different from what I have been listening to as of late. Kadavar is a band straight out of the 70's. I had no idea psychedelic or stoner rock was still going strong in 2015. Who would think there would be bands playing hair metal in 2015 either and I certainly love them. The Old Man is the first single off of the forthcoming album Berlin and is quite good. After listening to The Old Man a couple of times I dismissed any notion of picking up the album. I enjoy classic rock as much as the next guy but I was not sure if Kadavar could fit into my regular rotation. Having the song on repeat as I am doing tasks around the house including writing this post, I find myself getting into this song more and more. The chorus is just infectious and is the best part of the song. The 70's stoner rock vibe is there and the guitar riffs and drum beats fit the vibe perfectly. I will be very interested to hear more singles off of the album as we approach the release date and who knows they might even drag an album sale out of me.
